In January 12, 2015, a conventional 700 tons crawler crane was disassembled and transported by train to the site of a derailment that occurred last November near the Moisie River, north of Sept-Îles. It was an important step undertaken as part of operations to recover 2 locomotives and some railcars. This crane was reassembled using 3 other cranes that were already at the derailment site. Watch the TVA News report (in French) called: “Une gigantesque grue assemblée.”
