In February 2017, we helped to build the St. Germain Group’s new Alt Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Our client, from the institutional and commercial sector, opted for a five-storey modular construction design. A 450-ton capacity, “Mega-Wing” configured Grove GMK6400 all-terrain crane was used to lift units weighing between 20 and 40 tons each.
Drawing upon our expertise and the help of our technical team, we were able to complete the project in a month-and-a-half, despite unfavourable weather conditions, as mentionned in a VOCM article, the local journal, and a working radius as little as 7 meters, while ensuring workers’ health and safety at all times.
